What is your social-media-of-choice right now?

Currently I'm torn between Linkedin and Pinterest.

What is one of your biggest ambitions?

I would say that my biggest ambitions are to finish my Masters program and to reach as many kids as I can through my work with the Jewish Family and Children's Service Child Abuse Prevention Program(CAPP). CAPP is an evidence based, age appropriate, three-tiered program that focuses on providing training in child abuse prevention to children, professionals, and parents in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

What attracted you to YNPN?

I was attracted to the opportunity to grow as a professional and network with like minded people. YNPN provides the opportunity to learn from others in the sector by sharing ideas and best practices.

What's one of your personal favorite hidden gems in St. Louis?

Its a place called Mamma Jamma's. A mamma jamma is best described as a cross between a sloppy joe and a Philly cheesesteak. DELICIOUS! The business used to be located on Natural Bridge but they have since moved. So now it is really hidden! If anyone has any information about this place PLEASE let me know!

One thing that excites you about the nonprofit sector?

People often ask what keeps me motivated in my field of work and I always say that its the value that is being added to the community. That's the exciting thing about working in the nonprofit sector. No two days are the same and you can actually see the results of your work. In my case its a 3rd grader remembering their body safety plan or a high schooler knowing how to keep safe online. Knowing my work is important is exciting.

Tell us something unique about your experience as a young professional!

The most unique thing about being a young professional for me is knowing that our generation is next to lead this sector. The amount of knowledge and innovation that we bring to our organizations reflect the signs of the time. Its a fun yet challenging time in our sector as we are seeing alot of change however we are able to be flexible and welcome this change.
